The Chemical Research Center was established based on the decision of a applied research and development authority’s board of directors No. 291 of 2013, and based on the applied research and development authority’s board of directors’ decision No. 11 of 2014. the department of experiments was joined to the chemical research center, so that the name of the center became the chemical research and experiments center.

  • Conducting research and studies in the field of protection against unconventional Weapons.
  • Conducting research and studies in the field of purifying the affected areas from Unconventional weapons and other pollutants.
  • Contribute with international organizations to limit the proliferation of weapons mass destruction.
  • Contribute to the disposal of military waste and remnants of war.
  • Participation in the application of environmental standards.
  • Work to establish an integrated scientific information based on everything that falls within the competence of the center.
  • Any other tasks assigned to the center in its field of competence.
  • Work on preparing a study on the possibility of getred of propellant residues and environmental pollutants (soil and water) as a result of explosions and fireworks, in addition to other remnants of war.
